Help & Advice

Soon after your child is born, they will soon be pulling themselves up and making their first attempt to stand on their own two little feet. You will then realise that it's never too early to think about the well being of your child's feet.

Did you know it can take up to 18 years for the bones, muscles and ligaments in each foot to reach it's' adult state? Ill fitting shoes or even socks that are too tight can hinder their healthy development so it's important to ensure you make the right choices when buying your child's shoes.

Pre-walkers

In our opinion your child should have been walking independently for approximately 4 to 6 weeks before you consider buying proper first shoes but to protect your chlld's feet at this delicate stage you may consider pre-walking shoes.

At happytoes we have two types of per-walker shoes, our Robeez range provides warmth and protection even before they take those first few steps but when they do, our range of Pediped's will be ideal for their tiny feet, also we recommend your child's feet are professionally measured and fitted even at this early stage.

First Shoes

Once your child is walking independently they will need more protection and support and you will now be ready for first shoes, a memorable time for any Parent. Once again we recommend professional measuring and fitting to ensure happy toes!

Remember! Each child is unique and they develop in their own time and in their own way but for all stages in their development it's very important to ensure your child is wearing correctly measured and fitted shoes.

Soon your child will need footwear for many different occasions and activities and you'll find that Happytoes will have just what you're looking for. Sample the wonderful experience of shopping with Happytoes and let us make your child's feet smile.
